Description : Ahh, Texas. As the silence of night settles, all appears quiet on The Rimfire Ranch. The distant sounds of the cattle on the range, the chirp of the crickets, the guns of the outlaw rustlers .... wait .... OUTLAW RUSTLERS! The Rimfire is being raided by outlaws intent on taking control of the vast cattle empire amassed by Sam Gunnison called The Rimfire Ranch. The Regulators job is to stop them. Choose your side, Regulator or Rustler. Or just go at it in an all out Death match.

Ok, alot has changed since the origination of this idea. I downloaded the wrapper that lets me "see" glide. After that I had to go back and adjust light levels to find a "best fit" between glide and DirectD or MGL. I love to use lighting so I'm not especially happy with the compromise, but I hope it will look ok in all graphics modes. I was also going to release it as a daytime level ( to cut down on James' advantage ) but have since trashed that idea. Maybe later, if enough people like this. If not, on to better things.

I decided to make this CTF this time as it lends itself to that mode of play in a way. One side can take the barn, one the main house......almost like the two fort theme huh? This is the first time I've done capture the flag, ( I prefer to play it in the woods for REAL ). Hope I got it set up right. We tested it with 2 players (Boogyman and Duke Thanks) from the zone, (We lost big time!), and it seemed to do alright. First time I played CTF, not bad.

Note to snipers. If you go out on the range the only way back in is the main gate. They can come out at you anywhere though. So watch out!

I didn't put alot of the ammo that players start with in the game. I've noticed that ammo piles up on the ground alot, and this will force people to pick it up and maybe help the frame rates a little..

This level also has some sounds in it only the host will hear. So to get the true feel, host it up at least once so you can hear.

If anyone has read this far that means you either don't have anyone to play with, or really enjoy this stuff. Keep reading all the way, its worth it.

There is LOTS of detail, but as I've stated, my position is todays computers should handle it with no problem. Please forgive the spelling. I didn't major in English, and I'm too lazy to use a spell checker.

Known Bugs : None I Hope! Please no bugs! I worked really hard getting the Direct3D errors out. They seem to pop up when you have a slanting sector and enough verticies line up cutting it at an angle other than parallel or at a right angle to it. Anyway, if you find any major ones, go play Space Cowboys and then come back to it. He He... ( I love that map, BUT OOOHHH )

now keep going down

Just to see who actually reads these things. The closet and the chimney in the main house are low G. Use these to get to the attic and roof. There is a secret closet in the barn, and a route to the "underground". The only way I've found to the barn roof is to jump from the main house. It MUST be PERFECT! The outhouse door is FAKE. You can walk right through. Good Luck.
